FAQs
Is chiropractic care safe?
Yes! Chiropractic care is very safe and highly effective. Every day, millions of people see a chiropractor – it is one of the safest and most up-to-date means of treating a multitude of conditions like neck pain, back pain, and headaches (just to name a few). Chiropractic care is a safe, highly effective alternative to treating a multitude of symptoms without any unnecessary side effects. Many also turn to chiropractics as an alternative to taking prescriptive medications for pain management.
Is chiropractic care costly?
No. Comparatively speaking, chiropractics is very affordable and can be anywhere between 40-60% less expensive than prescriptive medication and painful surgeries. Low-back pain is a significant public health problem. Up to 85 percent of Americans have back pain at some point in their lives. In addition to its negative effects on employee productivity, back pain accounts for about $50 billion annually in health care costs—making it one of the top 10 most costly conditions treated in the United States. With impending changes in the healthcare system, many families are turning to chiropractics for ongoing assurance in quality of their health and wellness.
How frequently must I attend?
Frequency depends totally on the patient. Each patient is unique and has different needs. We tailor care to each patient’s individual needs. We are not a “one-size-fits-all” practice… nor are we a “wham bam thank ya ma’am.” Depending on your healthcare needs and goals, we strive to achieve optimal health and wellness with all of our patients. Many patients ask, “do I have to go forever?” The answer is no – once we have achieved your health goals, most patients transition to wellness care and their visits become less frequent. Most patients of chiropractic care, however, will tell you that they continue care because they really enjoy it!
Can chiropractic care help me?
One of the main goals of chiropractic care is to remove subluxations (spinal misalignment causing nerve interference) to allow the body’s nervous system to function optimally. Chiropractic care can help with a multitude of healthcare issues, although it is not always curative to all health related issues. Chiropractic care directly affects the body’s nervous system – which is the master system of the body – by removing harmful environmental and stressful stimuli and allowing the body innately to heal itself.
